BUDAPEST FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Straddling the romantic Danube River, with the Buda Hills to the west and the start of the Great Plain to the east, Budapest is the most beautiful city in central Europe. Architecturally, Budapest is a gem, with enough baroque, neoclassical, art nouveau (or Secessionist) buildings to satisfy anyone’s appetite. PERFECT LOCATION FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER. With parks brimming with attractions, museums filled with treasures, pleasure boats sailing up and down the scenic Danube and Turkish-era thermal baths belching steam, the Hungarian capital is a delight both by day and by night. The food and wine are excellent, cheap and in abundance and the nightlife is hot.
DAY 1: arrival of the group in Budapest airport. Meeting with our assistant and transfer by private coach to the hotel. Briefing with the Hungarian photographer who will explain the best sites in Budapest for photo shots. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 2: Breakfast in hotel and whole day for the guided tour of this wonderful European capital. The city is divided into two parts: the hilly Buda and the flat Pest. The UNESCO has conferred the title of “World Heritage Site” to the area of the Castle and Andrassy Avenue. We will be able to visit: the Parliament (outside), St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Heroes’ Square, The Citadel, Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion (a photographer will stay with the group all day long to suggest the best places). Dinner in a traditional Csarda with show. Accommodation in hotel.
DAY 3: breakfast in hotel. Free day for taking pictures in Budapest. Our photographer will be at disposal for any tips. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 4: Breakfast and excursion to the bend of the Danube with the characteristic and picturesque centres of Visegrad and Szentendre. Free afternoon for tours, photos or shopping at your leisure. Late in the afternoon, a wine tasting of Hungarian wines in a traditional wine cellar in the city centre. Dinner in hotel. After dinner we will see a video projections of your best pictures and discuss with our photographer.
DAY 5: breakfast in hotel. Free time and then transfer to the airport. Departure.
